1. Are you licensed, insured and bonded?
Yes, Freight Exchange, Inc. is fully licensed, insured and bonded to ensure the safety and security of all our operations.
2. What are your payment terms?
We offer 30-day net pay terms. For carriers needing quicker payment, we offer a quick-pay option with a 3% fee for next-day payment, preferably via ACH. There is no fee for ACH payments. We also work with all major factoring companies. After 28 years in business, there isn’t a factoring company we haven’t worked with.
3. How do you manage pickups and deliveries?
We schedule all pickups and deliveries with shippers and consignees to ensure smooth operations. Before a driver arrives, we make notice calls to confirm the contact name and that the freight details (product and weight) are accurate. If the delivery requires an appointment, we handle those notifications ourselves.
4. What information do you provide to carriers?
When we send confirmation to your trucking company, the logistics details are precise and transparent. Using DAT Keypoint software, we provide accurate information on the freight and its weight. If there are any accessorial charges beyond the agreed rate, these are clearly communicated upfront.
5. How do you handle over, short and damage (OSD) claims?
We work directly with carriers’ safety departments on OSD claims or situations. We will collect all information regarding the freight and provide both carrier and customer-specific details to bring about a resolution.
6. How do you manage driver communication?
We offer directions, contact information and specific load details to avoid any issues. We constantly track drivers to provide customers with accurate updates on their location and status.
7. What size trucking companies do you work with?
We work with trucking companies of all sizes, from single-truck operations to fleets of 1,000 vehicles. If you have a good safety rating and professional drivers, we are ready to partner with you.
